Guardians ad Litem are trained volunteers who are appointed to advocate for the best interests of children during dependency proceedings. Because the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) program is state-mandated, Guardians cannot fundraise for the program. Voices For Children is a not-for-profit created to help meet the unique and often critical financial needs of the children assigned to the Guardian ad Litem Program. We receive GAL volunteer requests to provide basic things like sneakers and clothing, as well as funding for more serious specialized medical or dental treatment, psychological evaluations, and counseling for those children placed in the custody of the state of Florida and have a Guardian ad Litem appointed by the court.
To support the critical physical and psychological needs of children who have a Guardian ad Litem assigned to them.
To support recruitment, training, and retention of the volunteers who advocate for these children.
